Criteria for defining high tech enterprises

At the suggestion of the Minister of Science and Technology,

The Prime Minister issued the decision to define the criteria for determining the high tech business.

What? 1. The criteria for defining high-tech enterprises

High-tech enterprise is the business that meets the regulatory criteria at Point a and b Article 75 of the Investment Law, while simultaneously meeting the following specific criteria:

1. Revenue from the business ' s high tech product must reach at least 70% in total annual net sales.

2. The total cost of research and development carried out in Vietnam on total annual net sales for small and medium enterprises must reach at least 1%. For businesses with a total capital of over 100 billion dollars and total labor on 300 of these rates must be at least 0.5%.

3. The number of skilled workers from the university becomes directly implementing research and development on the total workforce for small and medium enterprises must reach at least 5%. For businesses with a total capital of over 100 billion dollars and total labor on 300 rates this rate must be at least 2.5% but no less than 15.

What? 2. Businesses have submitted a proposal to grant a certificate of high-tech business prior to the time of the decision taking effect without being granted a high-tech business certification, according to the regulatory criteria at the decision.

What? 3. This decision has been in effect since 1 August 2015.

What? 4. The Ministers, the Prime Minister, the Head of the Government of the Government, the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, the Central Committee of the Central Committee, is responsible for the decision.
