RESOLUTION " N A/RES/64/255 OF THE
GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE UNITED NATIONS RELATIVE
TO VIAL SECURITY

The Senate and the CA of Representatives of the Eastern Republic of Uruguay, meeting in General Assembly,

DECREE:

ArtAculo 1Aº. -A Apru.base the ArtAculoA 2Aº. -A Eastern Republic of Uruguay declares the decade 2011-2020 as the "Decade of Action for Road Safety".

ArtAculoA 3Aº. -A The third Sunday of November of each year is declared as the "National DAa in Remembrance of the VActimas de Tra ¡ nsito".

ArtAculoA 4Aº. -A declares that in the month of October of each year, the National Road Safety Week in Uruguay, scheduled and coordinated by the National Road Safety Unit, is a fact. In the context of the development of the European Community, the European Commission has been in a position to promote the development of the European Community in the field of road safety, promoting healthy mobility based on good practice in the field of road safety. Road safety issues applied throughout the national territory with the single purpose of saving lives and preserving the health of all citizens.

ArtAculoA 5Aº. -A public authorities may require the collaboration of mass media for the dissemination of events that are performed in compliance with this law.
