COMMEMORATIVE COINS FOR THE INSCRIPTION OF THE "INDUSTRIAL LANDSCAPE
FRAY BENTOS" AS A CULTURAL LANDSCAPE ON THE WORLD HERITAGE LIST
OF THE UNITED NATIONS FOR THE
EDUCATION, LA SCIENCE AND CULTURE (UNESCO)

AUTHORIZES THE CENTRAL BANK OF URUGUAY TO PROCEED TO ITS MINTING

The Senate and the House of Representatives of the Eastern Republic of Uruguay, meeting in General Assembly,

DECREE:


Article 1º.-Authorize the Central Bank of Uruguay to coinage commemorative coins from the inscription of the “Industrial Landscape Fray Bentos” as a cultural landscape in the List of World Heritage of the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO), up to the amounts and with the characteristics that are determined in the following articles.

Article 2.-The Central Bank of Uruguay will be able to coin up to 10,000 (ten thousand) units with the following characteristics: The face value of each unit will be $1,000,00 (Uruguayan pesos thousand). The coin will be made of silver with a fine of 900 (nine hundred) thousandths. An alloy tolerance of 2% (2%) shall be permitted. It will have 12.50 (twelve and a half) grams of weight and 33 (thirty-three) millimeters in diameter. A weight tolerance of 2 per cent (two per cent) per thousand shall be permitted. Its shape will be circular and its singing striated.

Article 3º.-The Central Bank of Uruguay will determine the ornamental elements of the coins that will refer to the commemoration of the inscription of the “Industrial Landscape Fray Bentos” as a landscape cultural on the UNESCO World Heritage List.

Article 4º.-The Central Bank of Uruguay shall be empowered to sell the coins, the coinage of which is authorized by this law, to dispose of its demonetization and the disposal of the pieces. demonetized.
