Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Oh, I am. :
1. To ratify the Convention on the Protection of Persons in relation to the
automated processing of personal data ( 994_326 ), committed
January 28, 1981 in m. Strasbourg (added), and
Protocol to the Convention on the Protection of Persons in connection with the
processing of personal data regarding surveillance and
transboundary data flows ( 994_363 ), committed on 8 November
2001 in m. Strasbourg (added) to take effect for
Ukraine on the first day of the month following the end
A three-month period from the date of Ukraine's surrender to the storage of its
The ratification of the Charter, with the following statements:
to sub-item 2 of Article 3 of the Convention ( 994_326 ):
" Ukraine will not apply this Convention ( 994_326 ) to
personal data that are handled by physical persons solely
for non-professional personal or household needs ";
to subparagraph 2 (2) of Article 3 of the Convention 994_326 ):
" Ukraine will apply this Convention ( 994_326 ) to
information that applies to groups of individuals, associations, foundations, companies,
corporations and any other organizations directly or
indirectly consist of individuals, regardless of
whether or not to have such institutions of the status of a legal person ";
to sub-item 2 of Article 3 of the Convention (para. 994_326 ):
" Ukraine will apply this Convention ( 994_326 ) to
personal data files that are not processed automatically ";
to paragraph 2 of Article 13 of the Convention ( 994_326 ):
" The Authority to which the powers are entrusted with the

2. This Act takes effect at the same time as the right to take effect
The Law of Ukraine "On Protection of Personal Data" (PDF) 2297-17 ) (except
article 3 of this Act, which takes effect from the day of publication
of this Act).
3. The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine in a three-month period of
consideration of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine draft law on amendments to
of certain legislative acts of Ukraine concerning responsibility for
Violations of the legislation of Ukraine on protection of personal data.
