On the ratification of the Convention of the Council of Europe on the Protection of Children from Sexual Exploiting and Sexual Violence

(Information Of The Verkhovna Rada (VR), 2013, No 19-20, pp. 180)

Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Orders:

Ratify Council of Europe Convention on the Protection of Children from Sexual Exploiting and Sexual Violence signed on behalf of Ukraine on 14 November 2007. Strasbourg, which takes effect for Ukraine on the first day of the month, comes after the end of a three-month period from the date of the expression by Ukraine to the Convention (added), by transfer to the storage of ratification, of such statements:

(1) To Article 37, paragraph 2:

"Ukraine declares that in Ukraine the state body authorized for the purposes of paragraph 1 of Article 37 of the Convention is the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine";

(2) Under article 38, paragraph 3:

" Ukraine declares that this convention is the legal basis for cooperation on the provision of mutual legal assistance in criminal cases and extradition in case the request from the state is to participate in this Convention, with which Ukraine has no treaty. concerning the provision of mutual legal assistance in criminal cases or extradition.

The central authorities in Ukraine, on which the authority under paragraph 3 of Article 38 of the Convention, is the Ministry of Justice of Ukraine (in the stage of the trial or execution of the expression) and the Prosecutor General's Office (in the stage of pre-trial investigation). "
