Provisions extract and salt production and marketing



President of the Republic based on the provisions of the Constitution

And approved by the People's Assembly in its meeting held on / 11.18.1429 / AH corresponding to 16/11/2008 AD.

Issued the following:
Article 1


Subject extract and salt production and marketing in the Syrian Arab Republic to the provisions of this Act and shall mean the salt material sodium chloride produced from various natural sources (wells or salt water springs .. sea surface salt works .. .. .. rock salt mines) whether salt produced is valid for food, or was otherwise.
Article 2


All salt ores are considered natural reservoirs located within the boundaries of the territory of the Syrian Arab Republic, the property of the state, whether on the surface or in the interior or in the territorial waters and the continental shelf.
Article 3


A. The General Company for Phosphate and Mines in addition to the tasks entrusted to it by Legislative Decree No. 122 of 1970 and the functions of storage, marketing and pricing of the transfer of salt is iodized salt pans produced from salt works belonging to the company.

B holds the General Organization for Consumer Marketing rock salt iodized tasks for the purposes of the food product from the mines invested by FPC, mines, and its price is determined by agreement between them.
Article 4


A- views and the private sector may be co-extraction, processing, transportation and marketing of salt for the purposes of the food industry and, under a license General Establishment of Geology and Mineral Resources granted after approval by the Council of Ministers upon the proposal of the Minister of Oil and Mineral Resources.

Article 5

Article 6

Article 7

Article 8

Article 9


Impose the right of every person who extracted salt without a license or possession or transfer or store it contrary to the provisions of this Act the following sanctions and measures ..

1- a fine of five times the salt, the exact value of the right of the State and the price depends of the General Company for Phosphate and Mines to calculate the fine.

2- confiscated salt tuned for the benefit of the listed company and book the methods used in the extraction and transportation of when to pay the fine of the offender.
Article 10


Shall prove violations of the provisions of this Act under Minutes tuning organized by at least two jurors staff of the General Company for Phosphate and Mines and working Balillot mentioned to prove forgery by virtue of a final judicial decision.

Article 11

Article 12

Article 13

Article 14

Article 15


This law shall be published in the Official Gazette and shall come into force three months after the date of issue.
