Amendment of articles of the Labour Act 91 /91

President

Based on the Constitution

As approved by the People's Assembly at its meeting held on the date of 5-10-1421 A.H., 21-12-2000,

The following are issued:


Article 1
Amend article 11 / Labour Act No. 91 /1959 Its amendments are as follows:

Article 11. The provisions of this Chapter shall apply to all unemployed persons capable of working, wishing and looking for them in public, private and joint sectors and the cooperative sector within and outside the Syrian Arab Republic.

Article 2
Amend Article 12 of the Labour Act No. 1/91 of 1959 and its amendments and become as follows:

Article 12

a. The Employment and Employment Offices of the Ministry of Social Affairs and Labour are responsible for organizing the affairs of employment, employment and labour seekers, including those with scientific qualifications, and the preparation of statistics. About the job opportunities available within the country and abroad and the number of job seekers and their qualifications to carry out studies and statistics to look for job opportunities for them.

b. All unemployed persons are required to be named in the Employment and Employment Office of the Ministry of Social Affairs and Labour, which is located in his or her place of residence, with a statement of age, profession, qualifications and past work. These offices shall be subject to such requests and shall be given the student without a certificate of access on the day of submission of the application. The Minister of Social Affairs and Labour shall issue such data as may be contained in this certificate and shall be appointed by decision of the respective offices of the Office of the Minister of Social Affairs.

c. To all educational and training bodies in the Syrian Arab Republic (universities, technical schools and vocational training centres) To submit to the Ministry of Social Affairs and Employment the regulations of graduates in each of the branches of study or training.

Article 3
The text of article 18/of the Labour Act No. 91/of 1959 and its amendments shall be repealed and replaced with the following text:

" 18.a. The Ministry of Social Affairs and Labour organizes employment outside the Syrian Arab Republic for Syrian Arab workers and in their judgment and seeks to find jobs for them, to work for their care and to secure their rights.

b. To be issued by a decision of the Prime Minister on the proposal of the Minister of Social Affairs and Labour in agreement with the Ministries of the Interior and Foreign Affairs, the State Planning Authority and the General Confederation of Trade Unions, which sets out the rules and conditions for the use of Syrian workers and those in their rule outside the country and search methods. About job opportunities for them and how to take advantage of them."

Article 4
The text of article 22/of the Labour Act No. 91/of 1959 and its amendments shall be repealed and replaced with the following text:

" 22. The registration certificate issued by the employment and employment offices is considered a leaf. The identification required for appointment to any of the entities mentioned in article 11 of this Law."

Article 5
The password is replaced with the word "diem" wherever it is contained in the Employment Act No. 91/of 1959 and its amendments.

This law is published in the Official Journal.
