The agreement to avoid double taxation and prevent tax evasion between Syria and France

President

Based on the Constitution

As approved by the People's Assembly at its meeting held on the date of 8-4-1426 A.H., 16-5-2005,

The following are issued:

Article 1

The Convention on the Avoidance of Double Taxation and the Prevention of Tax Evasion with respect to Taxes on Income and the Protocol thereto, signed in Paris on 17-7-1998 by Mr. Minister of Finance on behalf of the Government of the Syrian Arab Republic and Mr. Minister of Finance, Economy and Industry Foreign trade on behalf of the Government of the French Republic and the two letters signed in Damascus on 16-12-2004 between the French Ambassador in Syria on behalf of the Government of the French Republic and Mr. Minister of Finance on behalf of the Government of the Syrian Arab Republic are an integral part of the Convention.

Article 2

This law is published in the Official Journal.

Damascus at 16-4-1426 A.H., 45-5-2005.
