Ratification of the contract between Syria, the Stratech Energy Corporation of Canada and the Kuwaiti Company for Oil Exploration and Production in Sector 17 in Homs and Rif Dimashq, south-west of Palmyra

Based on the Constitution

As approved by the People's Assembly at its meeting held on 21-10-1426 A.H., 23-11-2005.

The following are issued:

Article 1

The contracts signed in Damascus dated 17-8-2005 by the Minister of Oil and Mineral Resources, representing the Government of the Syrian Arab Republic and the Director General of the Syrian Petroleum Company with the Canadian company Stranc Corporation and the Kuwait Petroleum Exploration Company (SK), are believed to have been ratified by the Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources. M. k As a contractor of the Syrian Oil Company for oil and gas exploration and production in Sector No. 17, located in the territory of the governorates of Homs and Rif Dimashq, south-west of the city of Palmyra, in accordance with the terms of the contract and its annexes.

Article 2

This law is published in the Official Journal.

Damascus, 1-11-1426 A.H., 1-12-2005.
