The Federal Department of Foreign Affairs presents its compliments to the Embassy of the Principality of Liechtenstein and has the honour to acknowledge receipt of its note of 15 March 1999, which reads as follows:

" The Embassy of the Principality of Liechtenstein presents its compliments to the Federal Department of Foreign Affairs and has the honour to submit the following proposal, in connection with the mutual agreement mentioned in c. 4 of the exchange of notes 2 On 4 March 1999 on the termination of the Convention on Postal and Telecommunications 3 , concerning the application of the rules on advertising and sponsorship in the field of radio/television, having regard to the fact that in this field homogeneous general conditions for advertising and sponsorship are valid in the two states even after The termination of the Convention:

In the field of radio/television, the rules of the European Convention on Transfrontier Television 4 Of 5 May 1989 concerning advertising and sponsorship (art. 11 to 18) are applied for television as well as for radio mutatis mutandis in the mutual relations between the Principality of Liechtenstein and Switzerland. This regulation is of indefinite duration and may be denounced by both Parties for a period of three months.

If the Swiss Federal Council accepts the above provisions, the present note and the Swiss answer note shall constitute an agreement between the two Governments.

This agreement will be applied from 1 Er April 1999 on an interim basis. It shall enter into force as soon as each Party has communicated to the other the completion of the internal procedures required for that purpose.

The Embassy of the Principality of Liechtenstein takes this opportunity to give the Federal Department of Foreign Affairs the assurance of its high consi-weight."

The Federal Department of Foreign Affairs has the honour to inform the Government of the Principality of Liechtenstein that the Swiss Federal Council has approved the terms of the above note, and takes this opportunity to renew to the Embassy Of the Principality of Liechtenstein the assurance of its highest consideration.
