510.514 Ordinance on places of weapons, shooting and exercise (Ordinance on places of arms and shooting, OPATE) of 26 June 1996 (State October 1, 1996) the Swiss federal Council, view the art. 124, al. 2, of the Federal Act of 3 February 1995 on the army and military administration, stop: Section 1 provisions general art. 1 purpose this order regulates the use and administration of places of exercise and shooting weapons.

Art. 7 places of federal weapons agencies in accordance with the order of 18 October 1995 on military organization (OOM) enact the prescriptions regarding the use and the administration of places of federal weapons and assume the tasks assigned to them.

Art. 12 use and administration art. 6 and 7 shall apply by analogy to the use and administration of the places of shooting and exercise ownership of the Confederation.
The use of places of shooting and exercise, which are not property of the Confederation is based on art. 134, al. 1, of the Federal Act of 3 February 1995 on the army and military administration, and, where appropriate, on existing contractual provisions.

Section 4 provisions final art. 13 run the federal Department of defence, protection of the population and sports is responsible for the execution of this order.

Art. 14 entry into force this order comes into force on July 1, 1996.
