748.215.2 order of the OFAC review of aircraft on 15 April 1970 (State on August 1, 2008) the federal Office of civil aviation, view of art. 58, al. 3, of the Federal law of 21 December 1948 on aviation, stop: Section 1Champ application and right applicable art. 1. this order applies unless the binding version for the Switzerland of one of THE following regulations is applicable in accordance with point 3 of the annex to the agreement between the Swiss Confederation and the European Community on air transport concluded on June 21, 1999: a. Section 2Etendue of the art review 1 to the federal Office of aviation civil (OFAC) verifies by testing if the aircraft is in accordance with the Ordinance of DETEC of 18 September 1995 on the airworthiness of the aircraft and the Ordinance of DETEC of 10 January 1996 on aircraft emissions.
The reviews include: a. evidence of airworthiness review and some related documents; b. consideration by survey of the condition of the aircraft on the ground and in flight.

RS 748.215.1 RS 748.215.3 Section 3 types of examination art. 2. the examinations are held in the form of first examinations or tests: a. the first examinations include: - the type examination with a view to the granting of the type certificate, - partial review type, after modification of a type recognized, - series exam (review of reproduction, partial examination of reproduction, entrance examination) with a view to the grant of the certificate of airworthiness, certificate restricted airworthiness or permit to fly;

b. follow-up examinations include:-examinations of the State intended to control the State of the aircraft at regular intervals set by OFAC, - the intermediate examinations intended to control the State of the aircraft ordered by the FOCA between reviews of State or during maintenance to repair serious damage or of defects techniques. - examinations to export in order to check the condition of the aircraft prior to export.

Exceptionally, the FOCA can give up totally or partially to follow-up examinations if he does not question the airworthiness and the aircraft is maintained by an agency approved and monitored permanently by that office maintenance.

Section 4 Procedure for examination art. 3 request applications for first exam as well as additional tests before the export must be submitted to the FOCA. The other tests are ordered by the FOCA.
In the case of screenings for the issuance of a certificate of airworthiness, restricted certificate of airworthiness or flight authorization, the applicant indicates type of operation for the aircraft.
The owner and the registered operator may designate a representative for the cooperation provided for in arts. 4 to 8.

Art. 4 place, date and program fixed the OFAC review the place and the date of the examination, taking in consideration if possible desires motivated the owner or registered operator.

As a general rule, the exam begins at the earliest two weeks after receipt of the complete application and after registration of the aircraft in the Swiss number of aircraft registry. FOCA may, upon written request, provide exceptions to this provision.
A review takes place abroad for special reasons.

Art. 5conveyance of the OFAC review may assign reviews to appropriate organizations or call to experts or to appropriate organizations.
He may also assign the review to a Swiss aircraft located overseas to a foreign authority.

Art. 6 collaboration of the owner or the operator registered owner or the registered operator must attend the examination of the aircraft or be represented.

The owner or the registered operator is allowed to offer responsible members of the crew for the test flights. During the first flight reviews, no passenger is allowed, and the complementary exams, passengers are permitted only with the approval of the FOCA.

Art. 8 refusal or suspension of the review the review is denied or suspended when it cannot proceed normally or that the necessary documents are missing.

Art. 9report to review a review report and a certificate of review are established at the end of the review.
The review report indicates possible findings and time to perform the necessary work. If the examination should be repeated, as is expressly mentioned in the review report.
The review report forms part of the record technical of the aircraft and is retained by the owner or the registered operator.
The certificate of review is kept on board the aircraft.

Art. 10 taxes and costs reviews give rise to the collection of fees fixed by the order of September 28, 2007 on the salaries of the federal Office of civil aviation,
The owner or the registered operator supports himself special fees that result review, including the costs of the review flights and travel for examinations abroad.

Entry into force art. 11 this Regulation comes into force on June 1, 1970.
The rules of 31 October 1953 on the examination of the aircraft is repealed on the same date.
