DFI Guidelines for the Accreditation of Post-Grade Training Courses in the University Medical Professions

The Federal Department of the Interior (DFI),

See art. 11, para. 6, of the order of 27 June 2007 concerning diplomas, university training, postgraduate training and the exercise of the medical professions 1 ,

Stops:

Art. 1 Purpose

This order sets out the quality standards applicable to post-graduate training courses in the medical professions.

Art. 2 Accredited post-graduate training

Post-graduate training courses leading to a federal post-graduate qualification will be accredited by:

A.
Human medicine;
B.
Dentistry;
C.
Chiropracti; or
D. 1
Pharmacy.

Art. 3 Quality Standards

1 Quality standards embody the criterion of accreditation as defined in Art. 25, para. 1, let. B, of the Medical Professions Act of 23 June 2006 (LPMed) 1 For post-graduate training courses within the meaning of s. 2.

2 Post-graduation training courses, which must be accredited, are examined in terms of the quality standards so as to ensure that they meet the criterion of accreditation referred to in para. 1.

3 The quality standards referred to in the Annex shall apply.

Art. 4 Entry into force

This order shall enter into force on 1 Er September 2007.
