The General Council of the Riksbank provides under Chapter 5. 1 §

Act (1988:1385) om Sveriges riksbank to commemorative coins on two

thousand and two hundred dollars shall be released and that the coins should

have the following size, shape and appearance.



§ 1 in respect of the 300 anniversary of the birth of Carl von Linné

will commemorative with nominal values of two thousand and two

hundred dollars given out.

On the reverse there is a butterfly, which stands for nature's ingenious

details, on a grid pattern that symbolize order and

Systematics. Over the image of the butterfly, see UNITED KINGDOM written. The

Latin text "NATURÆ MORES DISCERE" runs along the top of the coin

outer edge. In the lower part of the outer edge are the denomination 2000 KR.

On the left side of the outer edge is "E" indicating myntningsorten

and on the right is "SI" which is the initials of

the Governor's name.



The edge must be smooth.

must be made of an alloy consisting of 925 parts per thousand

Silver and 75 parts per thousand copper and have a weight of 27.03 grams

and a diameter of 36 mm. Deviation from the nominal weight

is named after Carl von Linné. At the bottom of the picture is

the artist's initials, "AWJ". Around the image runs the text "CAROLUS

LINNÆUS 1707-2007 ".



On the reverse there is a stylized picture of balusters and

pistils, which are retrieved from Linnaeus ' Systema Naturae ' from 1736,

on a grid pattern that symbolize order and structure.

Below the picture of the stamens and pistils in the grid is

SWEDEN written. Around the upper perimeter runs the name of the work

"SYSTEMA NATURÆ". In the lower part of the outer edge are the denomination

200 KR. left on the outer edge are the "E" indicating

myntningsorten and on the right is "SI" which is the initials of

the Governor's name.



The edge must be smooth.
