section 1 of the Swedish governmental agency for innovation systems have the task of promoting

sustainable growth by financing the needs-driven

research and development of efficient innovation system.

The authority has a special responsibility in the field of technology as well as

the fields of transport, communication and working life. With

innovation systems refers to the network of public and private

actors where new technologies and knowledge is produced, distributed and

used.



The authority shall promote the utilisation of research to

achieve sustainable growth and strengthening Sweden's competitiveness.



section 2 of the Swedish governmental agency for innovation systems



1. contribute to the strengthening and development of universities and

universities, industrial research institutes, companies and other

social actors and to develop cooperation between them in the

Swedish innovation systems,



2. contribute to the development of a more coherent and

internationally competitive institutions sector, as well as to

strengthen its role in the Swedish innovation system,



3. help to strengthen and develop the key sectors within

the Swedish innovation systems,



4. participate in the implementation of the regional growth work

in accordance with the Ordinance (2007:713) on regional

growth work, contribute to the efficient use of EU

structural funds and contribute to the development of the interaction between

the regional growth efforts and the national research

and innovation policy,



5. disseminating information on research, development and innovation

for performers, users and the general public, and



6. consider the ethical issues, promote gender equality in

its area of operation and to promote research on gender equality

with a focus on what hinders or facilitates innovation.

paragraph 3 of the Swedish governmental agency for innovation systems



1. stimulating international cooperation that strengthens Swedish

research and innovation and contribute to the Betterment of Sweden,



2. promote Swedish participation in the EU framework programme for research

and innovation,



3. evaluate the Swedish participation in the EU research framework programmes

research and innovation,



4. to coordinate the national information and

consultancy work on the EU framework programme for research and

innovation,



5. be national contact point for the EU research framework programmes

research and innovation, the research programme COST and the

industrial development program Eureka,



6. provide a secretariat for the coordination function for

EU research cooperation involving other governmental

research funders,



7. represent the State in the relevant partnership programs according to

Articles 185 and 187 of the Treaty on European Union

the functioning of the



8. assist government offices in program committee work in the EU

framework programme for research and innovation in the areas where

the authority has received a sizable liability by

Government decisions, and



9. assist the Government in the work of the OECD

Science and technology policy (CSTP) and its subgroups.

section 4 of the Swedish governmental agency for innovation systems, shall ensure that the regulatory framework

and procedures that the Agency disposes of is

cost effective and simple for businesses and other stakeholders.

The authority shall withdraw the benefits under the fees regulation

(1992:191) for assignments for other than Government.



Collaboration
