Order
Article 1 this regulation lays down provisions concerning the management
the bear, Wolf, Wolverine, Lynx and Golden Eagle (large carnivores).
The Administration aims to animals of these species should be
in such large numbers that the species in the long term remains in the
Swedish fauna and that animals can spread to their
natural range. This objective should be achieved in a
such a pace which promotes coexistence between people and
these species while damage and nuisance prevention
and restricted.
Management areas
section 2 management of the large carnivores, there shall be
rovdjursförvaltnings areas as follows.
1. Northern rovdjursförvaltnings area includes
Västernorrland, jämtland, Västerbotten and Norrbotten
County.
2. Middle rovdjursförvaltnings area includes Stockholm,
Uppsala, Västra Götaland, Värmland, Örebro, Västmanland,
Dalarna and Gävleborg.
3. Southern rovdjursförvaltnings area includes Södermanland,
Östergötland, Jönköping, Kronoberg, Kalmar, Gotland,
Blekinge, Skåne and Halland.
Collaboration advice
3 § for each rovdjursförvaltnings area, there shall be a
the Liaison Council for cooperation between the provincial governments within the
the area in matters of management of large predators. In

rovdjursförvaltnings areas, representatives of the Sami Parliament

Determination of levels the occurrence of large carnivores
section 4 of the County Board shall submit proposals to the Council to
the minimum number of föryngringar per year as the administration shall
aim to maintain (minimum level) for the presence of
bears, wolves, Wolverines and lynxes in the County.

proposal for minimum levels for the presence of bears, wolves,
Wolverine and Lynx in the rovdjursförvaltnings area and in each

Management plans and guidelines
section 7 of the County Board shall establish a rovdjursförvaltnings plan
for the County.

Carnivore census
section 8 of the provincial Government shall annually examine how many
föryngringar of Wolf, Wolverine, Lynx and Golden Eagles that are present in
the County (predator inventory).
Within the reindeer management area to the County Administrative Board in addition, every year
after consultation with affected Sámi communities investigate how many
föryngringar of wolves, Wolverines and lynxes that are present within
the Sami community's Swedish transhumance and about species
regularly or occasionally within the sameby. The County Board shall
even after consultation with affected Sámi communities investigate whether bear
or Golden Eagle in the Sami community's Swedish transhumance.
The results of the predator inventories shall be submitted to the
The environmental protection agency.
§ 9 the environmental protection agency shall annually review and determine
the counting results for Wolf, Wolverine, Lynx and Golden Eagles. If
