The in Montreal on 28 May 1999 adopted the Convention for the unification of certain rules for international carriage by air (the Montreal Convention) has entered into force for Sweden on 28 June 2004. English and French texts of the Convention, as well as a translation of it into Swedish has been published in Sweden's international agreements (SUN 2004:48). The same lyrics and translation is contained as an annex to the Aviation Act (1957:297). Other texts are available from the State Department.



According to article 24(2) of the Montreal Convention, the depositary shall notify the States parties of such changes of the thresholds laid down in articles 21 and 22 of the Convention takes place in accordance with article 24. According to Chapter 9. section 4, second subparagraph, the Aviation Act, the Government give to feel such changes. The following changes are to be known.



With effect from 30 September 2009, the threshold referred to in articles 21 and 22 of the Convention changed as follows.
