The law's scope of application and definitions



paragraph 1 of this law provides for regional

growth work and if the County plans for regional

transport infrastructure, Östergötland, Jönköping,

Kronoberg, Halland, Gotland, Skåne, Västra Götaland,

Örebro, Gävleborg, jämtland County, Sweden. Law (2014:473).



section 2 of the regional growth of work referred to in this law efforts

to create a sustainable regional growth and development.



section 3 of this Act apply to the County Council of Östergötland,

Jönköping County, Kronoberg County, Sweden

County Council, County Council of Halland, Västra Götaland

County Council, Örebro County Council, Gävleborg County

County Councils and the County Council. The law also applies,

with the exception of paragraph 8, of the municipality of Gotland. It is said about

a county in 5 – 10 sections applies in such a case the municipality.

4 § The regions referred to in this law may decide that

the County Council and the County Board instead,

County Councils. In elections in the municipality of Gotland to the designation

Regional growth work



5 § The regions referred to in this law shall



1. develop and establish a strategy for the County's development

and coordinate efforts for the implementation of the strategy,



2. Chapter 2. the second subparagraph of paragraph 8 of the local Government Act (1991:900)

decide on the use of certain State funds for regional

growth work, and



3. follow up, let evaluate and annually to the Government

present the results of the regional growth work.



section 6 of The regions referred to in this law may perform tasks

within the framework of the EU structural fund programmes.



Transport infrastructure



section 7 of The regions referred to in this law shall establish and

determine the County plans for regional transportation infrastructure.



Collaboration and consultation



section 8 of The regions referred to in this law to interact with



1. the County's municipalities, and



2. the provincial government and other relevant government departments.



9 § The regions referred to in this law shall consult with

representatives of interested organizations and the business community in

the County.



State authorities



section 10 State agencies operating in the County shall

consider the strategy established for the County's development.



The County Administrative Board and other State agencies shall, within their

practice areas provide the regions referred to in this law

the assistance that they need for regional growth work and

regional transport infrastructure planning. They will also be running

inform the health authorities referred to in this law relating to current and

planned activities that have an impact on the County's

development.
