Chapter 1. Introductory provisions
Article 1 this regulation lays down provisions on the Swedish
the infrastructure for access to and exchange of geographic
environmental information in electronic form and that is
useful for activities and actions that may affect the

Chapter 2. Coordination
Overall coordination

the system,

National land survey of Sweden shall be the contact point for the European Commission
in matters concerning the Swedish infrastructure for access to
and exchange of geographic environmental information.
The information management coordination

section 21 of the activities referred to in 9, 11 or 12.

similar properties (biogeographic region)
section 29 For areas that are relatively homogenous ecological

Information management services
4 § information management services should make it possible

Metadata

or data management service, to the extent that such
limitations, and
7. the reasons for the restrictions referred to in 6.
Metadata should be complete and up-to-date, and maintain a
high quality that they make it possible to identify, inventory, and
make use of the information or data management service.

Fees and other conditions
section 11 Search services shall be provided without charge.
12 § view services under 2 shall be provided without
fee. Such a display service may, however, be provided at an
fee, if the service relate to large volumes of geographic
environmental information is frequently updated, and a fee is required for
to cover the costs incurred by the update and maintenance of
the information involved.
section 13 A download service or service may
be provided for a fee only if the cost of the service
and the information provided through the service is not covered on
otherwise.
section 14 If an authority may collect charges from authorities for
services referred to in paragraph 4 or for geographical
environmental information, the charges do not exceed the costs
to reproduce, provide and disseminate information
the respective costs of the services, subject
the second paragraph.
If an authority is obliged to charge such fees
referred to in the first subparagraph to cover a substantial part of
the costs of a business, the total revenue is not
exceed the cost of collection, production,
reproduce and disseminate the information and the costs
for services and a reasonable return on investment.
The first and second subparagraphs shall not apply in relation to fees
abstracted from the authorities for the re-use of documents
where it is apparent that the documents will be used in
competitive activities. Provisions for such fees
and if the fees collected from the individual, see paragraph 7 of the law
(2010:566) where the re-use of documents from the

Chapter 5. Cooperation

geographic environmental information shall be arranged by agreement or
other information management services than those included in the
coherent system.
