The Royal Decree 1879/1996, of 2 August, which regulates the composition of the National Commission on Safety and Health at Work, established that the National Commission, as a collegiate advisory body of the In the formulation of the policies of prevention and the institution of institutional participation in the field of safety and health at work, it would be composed of representatives of the General Administration of the State, the administrations of the Autonomous Communities and representatives of the most important employers ' and trade unions representative.

In the field of the General Administration of the State, seventeen vowels were established on behalf of the various competent Ministries then existing.

Subsequently, the successive restructurings of the ministerial departments carried out in 2000, 2004, 2008, 2009 and 2010 forced to modify the Royal Decree 1879/1996, of 2 August, in order to adapt the distribution the number of members of the General Administration of the State to the new ministerial structures. This was carried out by the Royal Decrees 309/2001 of 23 March, 1595/2004 of 2 July, 1470/2008 of 5 September, 1429/2009 of 11 September and 1714/2010 of 17 December 2004.

Currently, Royal Decree 1823/2011 of 21 December, for which the ministerial departments are restructured, and Royal Decree 1887/2011 of 30 December 2011 establishing the basic organic structure of the Ministerial departments, have established a new organization of the Departments of the General Administration of the State. Due to these changes in the structure, competences and denominations of the ministerial departments, it is necessary to adapt to this new situation the representation of the scope of the General Administration of the State, which forms part of the of the National Commission on Safety and Health at Work, provided for in Article 2 of Royal Decree 1879/1996 of 2 August 1996.

In its virtue, on the proposal of the Minister of Employment and Social Security, with the prior approval of the Minister of Finance and Public Administrations, and after deliberation of the Council of Ministers at its meeting of June 1, 2012,

DISPONGO:

Single item. Amendment of Royal Decree 1879/1996 of 2 August, governing the composition of the National Commission on Safety and Health at Work.

Royal Decree 1879/1996 of 2 August, which regulates the composition of the National Commission on Safety and Health at Work, is amended as follows:

One. Paragraph (a) of Article 2.1 shall be read as follows:

"(a) The Presidency shall be the holder of the Secretary of State for Employment."

Two. Paragraph (b) of Article 2.1 is worded as follows:

"(b) Four Vice-Presidencies, one for each of the groups that make up the Party, with the Secretary of Health, Social Services and Equality being the holder of the General Administration of the State."

Three. Article 2.1 (c) is worded as follows:

" (c) Seventeen vowels within the scope of the General Administration of the State, with the rank of director-general or equivalent, representing:

1. Ministry of Finance and Public Administrations, two vowels.

2. Ministry of the Interior, two vowels.

3. Ministry of Development, a vocal.

4. Ministry of Education, Culture and Sport, a vocal.

5. Ministry of Employment and Social Security, four vowels.

6. Ministry of Industry, Energy and Tourism, two vowels.

7. Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Environment, a vocal.

8. Ministry of Economy and Competitiveness, a vocal.

9. Ministry of Health, Social Services and Equality, two vowels.

10. Cabinet of the Presidency of the Government, a vowel. "

Single additional disposition. Organic references.

The references that in Royal Decree 1879/1996, of 2 August, for which the composition of the National Commission on Safety and Health at Work is regulated, are made to the Ministry of Labour and Immigration, according to the Only Royal Decree 1429/2009, dated 11 September, has to be understood as being made to the Ministry of Employment and Social Security.

Single end disposition. Entry into force.

This royal decree will enter into force on the day following its publication in the "Official State Gazette".
