The law 39 / 2007, of 19 of November, has assumed that the teaching in them forces armed is integrate fully in the system educational general and, accordingly, is inspire in their principles and is East to the achievement of its purposes established in the ordering legal, with them adaptations due to the condition military.

Changes in the field of education referred to in the Act 39/2007, of 19 November, are so large draught, which not only affect the conditions of entry, but make it necessary to establish a whole training teaching management in the armed forces, which are collected in chapter III of the regulation of entry and promotion and management of teaching training in the armed forces , approved by the Royal Decree 35 / 2010, of 15 of January, facilitating is, of this way, a vision of joint in benefit of them future aspiring to the career military.

Based on the above, approved the order DEF/1158/2010, may 3, on general guidelines for curricula of general, specific and technical military training for access to different scales of officers, frame of reference for the elaboration of curricula, and in July of the same year the corresponding curricula initiating its implementation in September 2010.

It memory supporting is a document complex and thorough that is the commitment of the Department on them features of it training military and them conditions in which is goes to develop allowing the analysis of all those aspects teaching that is necessary consider in the elaboration of a design curriculum, and to its time, of this form, control the process of implementation and evaluate the quality of them results These fundamental aspects for the detection of possible malfunctions, allowing the adoption of corrective measures, with precise opportunity and efficiency, to maintain an excellent military training.

Not included, in this report, issues relating to quality assurance systems, pursuant to the provisions of article 43.3 of the law 39/2007, of 19 November, assessment procedures aimed to ensure the quality of education through its validation regarding their purposes, must be determined according to the rules.

GUIDELINES GENERAL FOR THE PREPARATION OF THE CURRICULA OF THE TEACHING OF TRAINING FOR ACCESS to THE DIFFERENT SCALES OF OFFICERS OF THE BODIES OF THE FORCES ARMED article 1. Object.

1. this ministerial order is to establish general guidelines for the preparation of curricula of teaching training for access to different scales of officers, the bodies of the armed forces, including plans of military training, specific studies and for the acquisition of the fundamental speciality and, if , technical, and, the plans of studies corresponding to the degrees of grade University of the system education general.

2. in the field of this order ministerial, whenever is use the term training of official, is means that we are referring to the curriculum only that comprises the training cited in the paragraph 1 of the present article.

Article 2. Principles guiding of the education of training of officers.

The education of training is governed by the following principles:


(to) conform a teaching oriented to the learning of the student and seated in a continuous process of tutoring and tracking, to achieve the objectives proposed.

(b) ensure a formation based on the transmission of values and the acquisition of knowledge, abilities and skills, in such a way that it favours a leadership based on the prestige acquired with the example, preparation and decision making problem solving.

(c) offer a training grounded in the respect to them rights and freedoms fundamental, in the equality of rights and opportunities between men and women, in the protection of the environment, in it not discrimination of them people by reason of birth, race or, sex, religion, opinion or any other condition or circumstance personal or social and in the respect to the justice.

(d) generate a provision encouraging future learning and capable of adapting to changes that are experiencing both social and professional.

(e) get training tailored to the objectives pursued, through a continuous process of validation of the quality of the education system.

(f) consider the teaching function as an essential factor for the quality of military education, recognizing the work of teachers and supporting their work.

Article 3. Purpose of the training of officers.

Training of officers is intended that students acquire skills that are in accordance with the necessary profiles for professional practice to determine, under Secretary of Defense and heads of State most of the army, the Navy and the air force, in the field of their respective competencies.

Article 4. Criteria that must be the training of officers.

The training of officers shall conform to the following criteria: to) provide training and specialization required for access to the different scales of officers.

(b) facilitate the obtaining of titles of the system education overall.

(c) ensure the full training human and the full development of the personality.

(d) to promote the principles and constitutional values, contemplating the cultural plurality of Spain.

(e) ensure the knowledge of the missions of the armed forces defined in the Constitution and the organic law 5/2005 of November 17, of the national defense.

(f) promote those values and the rules of behavior of the military.

(g) develop student capabilities to assume the process of knowledge and adapt to its evolution.

Article 5. Definitions.

In the field of this ministerial order means: to) knowledge: information assimilated in the learning process.

(b) capacity: interpretation and understanding of a knowledge applied to a context of reality.

(c) skill or skill: application of knowledge to transform a specific reality.

(d) skills: faculties that must acquire the student, demonstrated in the employment of the knowledge, of them capabilities and of them skills or skills necessary for its application in the field of activity in which will play its committed, mainly them corresponding to the first employment of the scale of official to which will enter. The skills, that should be measurable, is grouped in General and specific.

(e) curriculum: set of objectives, skills, content, methodology and evaluation criteria for each of the lessons covered in this ministerial order. You can group one or more curricula.

(f) curriculum: curriculum design that applies to certain teachings taught by a center of studies, which must contain, achievements, skills and knowledge that students should achieve in each area and grade; the contents, issues and problems of each area; the methodology that will apply in each area; and performance indicators and quality goals. Article 6. Structure of the teaching of training of officers.

Article 7. Military educational institutions of training of officers.

1. the training of officers to integrate or ascribed in the scales of officers of the specific bodies of the armies and the common corps of the armed forces, will be taught in educational establishments certain training military and that, in accordance with the regulations in force, will be collected in the corresponding curricula that make up the unique curriculum.

2. certain materials or subjects of the curriculum of the training of officers may teach in universities or educational institutions, civilian or military, domestic or foreign, which have signed the corresponding agreement.

Article 8. Workload of the curricula that make up the unique curriculum.

Article 9. Duration of the training of officers.

Article 10. The unique curriculum ECTS credits.

The maximum number of ECTS credits of the unique curriculum, referred to in article 6, shall be the following: to) admission without university degree: 1 access to the scale of the General bodies and Marine Corps officers: 380 ECTS, which will include the ECTS credits for certification of degree from the general education system.

2 access to the scale of officers of the military medical corps, fundamental speciality medicine: 456 ECTS, which will include the ECTS credits for certification of degree from the general education system.

(b) income with titling University: 1 access to the scales of official of them bodies specific of the armies: 76 ECTS by course academic.

2 access to the scales of the common bodies of armed forces officers: 76 ECTS.

(c) assignment to the different scales of officers as a complement to military: A maximum of 76 ECTS, except when it is necessary to provide training of flight, in which case the maximum number is 100 ECTS.

Article 11. Distribution of the workload.

(In the teaching of training of official, it load of work that represents the execution of them plans of studies that make up the curriculum only is will distribute according to them criteria following: to) it duration maximum of them courses academic will be of 41 weeks, including them periods school, them destined to the evaluation, as well as them dedicated to instruction and training. The first course duration may be extended up to 43 weeks, provided the 2 additional weeks are dedicated to education and training.

(b) the number of weeks aimed at education and training which shall contain the curricula of education officers deformation, to access the different scales of officers shall be those indicated below: 1 scales of General bodies and officers of infantry of Navy, when the income does not require University degree: A minimum of 30 weeks , in the total of the number of weeks of them plans of studies, without posting in this number the two weeks additional that is can devote, in his case, to instruction and training.

2nd scales of officers of the General bodies and marine, where entry is required University degree: not be less than 8 weeks per academic year.

3rd scales of official of them bodies of quartermaster and of engineers of those armies, of them bodies common of them forces armed and of military of complement: not will be lower to 8 weeks by course academic, except for the scale of official of the body military of health, specialty fundamental of medicine, when is has entered without requirement of degree University prior , to which is applied a minimum of 30 weeks in the total of the number of weeks of them plans of studies, without post in this number them two weeks additional that is can devote, in your case, to instruction and training.

(c) in the teachings of official, the number total of credits ECTS by course academic not exceed them 76 ECTS, nor the 2.2 ECTS / weekly.

Article 12. Modules of the training of officers.

The training of officers, subject to these guidelines, will be set according to the modules described below: a) training module military general: provides the basic knowledge that should acquire any officer by the fact linked professionally to the armed forces, including the essential enabling it to provide the services and the guards who ensure the functioning and safety of the units , centers and organizations.

His workload will be of 10 ECTS.

Materials and subjects that make up this module will have the same name, content and workload, irrespective of the scale of officers which are accessed, and are determined in annex I.

(b) module of training military specific: provides them knowledge specific of the army to which is goes to incorporate or ascribe the student, and for them bodies common, in which the content and load of work will be identical in all the materials and subjects that it integrate, provides them corresponding knowledge for your performance professional in the field of the Ministry of Defense.

(c) technical military training or fundamental speciality module: provides training in the field of activity in which the official future will play your body's own responsibilities. Curricula should include as many fundamental speciality modules as key specialties implementing regulations shall determine.

(d) training in foreign language module: provides the discursive skills in the English language, as well as for those who have achieved a minimum level of reference in this language, start or deepen the knowledge of a second language considered of interest to the armed forces.

Students in the teaching of training officers that blended in the General bodies and marine as well as in the military medical corps, fundamental speciality medicine, entering without university degree requirement, must acquire at least competencies specific to level B2 of the Council of Europe, as defined in the common European framework of reference for languages This being the required minimum to study a second language.

In those curricula whose duration is equal to or less than 24 months, the level of English necessary for joining different scales will be the same that is required for entry.

His workload, in the middle of the courses, will be between 5 and 8 ECTS per academic year.

Article 13. ECTS credits of the materials.

Article 14. Design and content of the curricula of the teaching of training of officers.

Article 19. Modification of curricula for the training of officers.
