Order AAA/1537/2013 of 31 July amending Order AAA/627/2013 of 15 April establishing a management plan for vessels registered in the national fishing grounds of the Gulf of Cádiz authorizes fishing for octopus with nasties and alcatrucks, as well as their draught and holding on board, in the area of the fishing zone situated south of the parallel 36º 22.9 ' N (island of Sancti Petri) up to a maximum of 5 vessels, taking care of the special circumstances condition the exercise of fishing in the island environment Sancti Petri.

Effectively, there are boats belonging to the census of minor arts in the Gulf of Cadiz, which are licensed for octopus fishing with nasties and/or alcatrucks and with its operating port in the town of Sancti Petri, which have very limited space for their fishing activity by the location to the north of this port of a range of shooting exercises where fishing is prohibited. The existence of this zone has been forcing them to give a large rodeo to access the northern areas of the fishing grounds authorized by the fishing, as it reaches at its point the distance of about 9 miles from the coast line. For this reason, it is appropriate to extend the fishing zone in the south where these vessels may fish, under certain circumstances specified in Order AAA/1537/2013 of 31 July.

The vessels listed in the Annex to this Resolution count as a common feature to have as the operating port of the town of Sancti Petri, by having to do so with a representative entity (a) in particular to the Association of Craft Fishing Producers of Sancti Petri.

This General Secretariat of Fisheries, hearing the sector concerned, resolves:

First.

Publish as a single annex to this Resolution, the census of fishing vessels of minor arts of the National Gulf of Cadiz with a license for the fishing of octopus with nasties and/or alcatrucks, which can fish in 2015 in the zone delimited by the following points:

A: 36º 22.9 'N 006º 20.59' W.

B: 36º 22.9 'N 006º 15.66' W.

C: 36º 17.8 'N 006º 10.86' W.

D: 36º 17.8 'N 006º 15.79' W.

Second.

The dates authorized to fish are exclusively from July 16 to August 31, 2015.

Third.

This Resolution will produce effects from the day following its publication in the "Official State Bulletin".
