The process of succession in the Head of State, which culminated in the proclamation of His Majesty Don Felipe VI as King of Spain, has led to the modification of the Armed Forces ' Calendar of Festivities, approved by the Order Ministerial 240/2001, of 20 November, since the date of the proclamation is considered to have the character of official commemoration in the Armed Forces, in place of the onomastic of Her Majesty the King Juan Carlos I. modification has been produced by the publication of the Ministerial Order 29/2015 of 23 April.
