The Council of Ministers, at its meeting of 25 September 2015, adopted the Agreement establishing the official character of certain degree titles and their registration in the Register of Universities, Centres and Titles.

Royal Decree 1393/2007 of 29 October establishing the ordination of official university teaching provides, in Article 26, that the Agreements of the Council of Ministers for the establishment of the official of the university degrees will be published in the "Official Gazette of the State".

In compliance with the aforementioned precept, this General Secretariat of Universities has resolved to have the publication in the "Official State Gazette" of the said Agreement, as an annex to this Resolution.

ANNEX

Agreement of the Council of Ministers establishing the official character of certain degree titles and their registration in the Register of Universities, Centers and Titles

Royal Decree 1393/2007 of 29 October establishing the ordination of official university teaching in Article 3 (3) determines that these lessons will be drawn up in the course of studies which will be be drawn up by the universities, subject to the rules and conditions applicable to them in each case. These curricula must be verified by the Council of Universities and authorized in their implementation by the corresponding Autonomous Communities, in accordance with the provisions of Article 35.2 of the Organic Law 6/2001, 21 of December, as amended by Organic Law 4/2007, of 12 April.

Moreover, according to the provisions contained in the Additional Disposition Sixth of the said Royal Decree, in accordance with the provisions of the Additional Disposition fourth of the aforementioned Organic Law of Universities, the recognition for civil purposes of university studies of non-ecclesiastical sciences, carried out at the universities of the Catholic Church established in Spain prior to the Agreement of 3 January 1979 on education and cultural, subscribed between the Spanish State and the Holy See by virtue of the established in the Convention between the Holy See and the Spanish State of 5 April 1962, they maintain their special procedures as soon as they do not choose to transform themselves into private universities. However, for the purpose of making such procedures effective, the curricula shall also be verified in accordance with the conditions laid down in that Royal Decree.

By virtue of the above, certain universities have drawn up the syllabus of teaching that will lead to the attainment of various degrees of degree. These curricula have obtained positive verification resolution from the Council of Universities and, except in the cases of those corresponding to the universities of the Catholic Church, which do not need it, authorization for their implementation of the corresponding Autonomous Community.

Accredited both the positive verifications of the plans of studies by the Council of Universities and, where appropriate, the authorizations of its Autonomous Community, in accordance with the provisions of Article 26 (1) of the actual decree, it is appropriate to raise to the Council of Ministers the Agreement of establishment of the official character of the titles and their registration in the Register of Universities, Centers and Titles (RUCT).

In its virtue, on the proposal of the Minister of Education, Culture and Sport, the Council of Ministers, at its meeting on 25 September 2015, agrees:

First. Establishment of the official character of the securities.

In accordance with the provisions of Article 3 (3) of Royal Decree 1393/2007 of 29 October 2007 establishing the ordination of official university teaching, the official character of the Degree titles listed in the Annex to this Agreement.

These titles will be of official character and validity throughout the national territory, will have full academic effects and will enable, where appropriate, the performance of regulated professional activities, according to the rules that are applicable in each case.

Second. Publication of the curriculum.

As provided for in Article 26 (3) of Royal Decree 1393/2007, of 29 October, in the new wording given by Royal Decree 861/2010 of 2 July, amending the previous one, the rectors of the respective universities they shall order the publication of the plans of studies leading to the procurement of the securities listed in that Annex, in the "Official State Gazette" and in the official journal of the Autonomous Community which corresponds to it.

Third. Registration in the Register of Universities, Centers and Titles.

The titles referred to in the first paragraph shall be entered in the Register of Universities, Centres and Titles (RUCT). Such registration shall be considered as an accredited title.

Fourth. Renewal of the accreditation of the securities.

Official university degrees, subject to this agreement, in order to maintain their accreditation, must be submitted to the evaluation procedure provided for in Article 27a of the Royal Decree 1393/2007, 29 of October, introduced by Royal Decree 861/2010 of 2 July, before the course of six years from the date of its initial verification or from the date of its last accreditation.

Fifth. Issue of the title.

The titles shall be issued on behalf of the King by the rectors of the corresponding universities, in accordance with the rules in force, with the express mention of this agreement.

Sixth. Enablement for the adoption of measures for the implementation of the agreement.

By the Minister of Education, Culture and Sport, in the field of their competences, the necessary measures for the implementation of this Agreement shall be adopted.
