Social Agent Engagement:

The economic crisis that Spain has experienced since 2008-and despite the fact that there are still no signs of improvement-is making a serious dent in the industrial sector of wood and furniture. In the last few years, it has led to significant decreases in all economic figures, in all cases to 50%. This reality is posing serious difficulties for businesses in the sector, and many of them, in most family SME cases, are forced to close.

The Negotiating Commission is aware of the very serious difficulties that the sector is experiencing and, in an act of responsibility, it has considered it appropriate to adopt the following agreements, all of them in order to collaborate actively in the revival of the industry.

First. Salary Review 2012.

In view of the delicate economic situation and in order to combine efforts to alleviate the destruction of employment, maintaining the industrial fabric in the wood and furniture sectors, it is agreed that the wage revision that It would be appropriate to apply according to Article 66.2.

For the implementation of this measure, it will be essential that, at each lower level, the prior updating of the salary tables has been carried out in accordance with the provisions of the State Convention in the Commission Negotiating of 7 September 2012.

Second. Salary Update 2013.

Consistently with the above, and in order to reduce the negative impact that the previous measure has on the wages of workers, it is agreed that the provincial tables of the year 2012 and current during the year, thus as the guaranteed minimum wage, they are updated by 0.4% with effect from 1 January 2013.

The parties urge organizations in the lower areas to proceed with the utmost urgency to subscribe to the provisions of the State Convention.

The salary tables of the provincial conventions that are not updated according to the increase established for the year 2012 may be adapted by the Joint Commission, according to the provisions of its Article 19. These wage tables should also be up to date according to the wage increase established for the year 2013 before 31 December 2013.

Third. Professional classification.

Given that the new model of professional classification by professional groups was approved in the framework of the Third State Convention, the members of the Negotiating Commission recall the need to carry out the transition from the previous professional classification model (categories) to the current one (professional groups), which includes assigning to each group a single salary, prior to 1 January 2014.

In the event of discrepancies between the parties during the negotiation of such adaptation, they may request the mediation of the Joint Commission of the State Convention.

Fourth. Labor Foundation of Wood and Furniture.

The Wood and Furniture Foundation is the joint agency of the sector constituted by the signatories of the State Wood Convention, in order to guarantee the provision of services to workers and companies. within the scope of that convention, having as its scope the whole of the Spanish territory, and the Statute of which forms an integral part of it.

This Negotiating Commission calls for the territorial councils to be set up in the autonomous areas. The parties also undertake to strengthen the necessary arrangements to ensure that the system of collection of business quotas is operational as soon as possible and proceeds to the agreed collection of 0.25% of the wage bill.

It is agreed to delegate to Don Francesc de Paula Pons Alfonso to carry out the necessary paperwork for the purposes of recording and publishing this record in the BOE.

And with no other issues to be dealt with, the session is being held at 1 p.m. CONFEMADERA, FECOMA-CCOO, MCA-UGT.
