Article 28 of the Organic Law 11/1983, of 25 August, of University Reform (LRU), provides that the Government, on a proposal from the Council of Universities, will establish official titles and validity throughout the territory. national, as well as the general guidelines for the curricula to be submitted for obtaining and type-approval. In its virtue, having regard to the proposal of the Council of Universities and on the proposal of the Minister of Education and Science, after deliberation by the Council of Ministers at its meeting of 26 October 1990,

DISPONGO:

Single item.

The university degree of Bachelor of Psychology is established, which will be of official character and validity throughout the national territory, as well as the corresponding general guidelines of the curricula that must be be submitted for procurement and approval and are contained in the Annex.

TRANSIENT DISPOSITION

Within the maximum period of three years, starting from the publication in the "Official State Gazette" of the general guidelines incorporated in the said Annex, the Universities that come imparting teachings object of Regulation of these guidelines shall send to the Council of Universities the new plans of studies leading to the official degree of Licentiation in Psychology.

If, after the aforementioned period, a University has not submitted or has not approved the corresponding new curriculum, the Council of Universities, after hearing of that, may propose to the Government for its approval of an interim study plan.

Attachment

General guidelines of the curricula leading to obtaining the official degree of Licentiated in Psychology

First.

The teachings leading to obtaining the official degree of Licentiate in Psychology should provide adequate scientific training in the basic and applied aspects of Psychology.

Second.

1. The curricula approved by the universities must be articulated as first and second courses, with a total duration of four to five years, and a duration per cycle of at least two years. The various plans of studies leading to the obtaining of the official title of the Bachelor in Psychology shall determine, in appropriations, the overall reading burden which shall in no case be less than 300 credits and not more than the maximum of appropriations for the Studies of first and second cycles allows for Royal Decree 1497/1987. In no case shall the minimum of credits for each cycle be less than 120 credits.

2. In addition to those who attend the first cycle of these lessons, they may be able to take up their second cycle, who in accordance with Articles 3, 4; 5 and 8. of Royal Decree 1497/1987 of 27 November, meet the requirements of qualification or previous first-cycle studies and training supplements required where appropriate, in accordance with the fourth guideline.

3. The teaching load set out in the curriculum will range from 20 to 30 hours a week, including practical lessons. In no case will the teaching burden of theoretical teaching exceed fifteen hours a week.

Third.

In the attached table, the subjects of compulsory inclusion are related in all the plans of studies leading to the obtaining of the official degree of Licentiate in Psychology, with a brief description of its contents, the credits that must correspond to the teachings, as well as the linkage of the same to one or more areas of knowledge.

The universities will assign the teaching of the subjects and/or the corresponding disciplines or subjects and, where appropriate, their contents, to Departments that include one or more of the areas of knowledge to which the same are linked in accordance with the provisions of that attached table.

Fourth.

In application of the provisions of Articles 5 and 8, 2, of Royal Decree 1497/1987 of 27 November 1987 laying down common general guidelines for the curricula of university degrees of character The Ministry of Education and Science will specify the qualifications and previous first-cycle studies needed to carry out these lessons under the formula set out in the second guideline number 2, as well as the training which, where appropriate, should be undertaken for this purpose according to the different scenarios.
