By Order of 28 February 1972, of the then Minister of Public Works, the "Instruction relating to the actions to be considered in the road bridge project" was approved.

The application of the aforementioned Instruction to the numerous actions carried out in the project and construction of road bridges has led, given its long period of validity, to the accumulation of an important experience.

This, together with the technical development experienced both in the project and in the construction of bridges, to the technological evolution of the materials and constituent elements of these structures, to the changes that have occurred in the the volume and typology of the traffic that circulates for them and the evolution of the technical regulations, both national and European and international, referring to actions, has advised to proceed to its review.

In its new wording, it has been considered appropriate, in the light of the above circumstances, to refer exclusively to the actions to be considered and to the combination thereof; this represents a substantial change from the the up to now in force, in which, moreover, the response of the structure is quantified according to the materials used.

In its virtue, and in accordance with the provisions of the second provision of Law 25/1988, of 29 July, of Roads, and in Article 29 and the single final provision of the General Regulations of Roads, approved by Royal Decree 1812/1994 of 2 September 1994 and complied with the procedure for the provision of information in the field of technical standards and regulations laid down in Council Directive 83 /189/EEC of 28 March 1995 and Royal Decree 1168/1995 of 7 July 1995. Single item.

The "Instruction on actions to be considered in the road bridge project (IAP)", which is annexed to this Order, is approved.

Single transient arrangement.

The projects which, at the entry into force of this Order, are in the drafting phase, will be governed by the Instruction in force at the time the corresponding order of study was given.

Single repeal provision.

Without prejudice to the provisions of the single transitional provision, the Order of 28 February 1972 is hereby repealed and the "Instruction for actions to be considered in the road bridge project" is hereby approved. other provisions of equal or lesser rank that are contrary to the provisions of this Order.

Single end disposition.

This Order shall enter into force on the day following that of its publication in the "Official State Gazette".
