The Organic Law 11/1983, of 25 August, of the University Reform, establishes that the budget of the universities will contain, in its state of income, among other concepts, the academic fees and other rights that are legally establish.

On the other hand, Law 8/1989, of 13 April, of Public Fees and Prices, gives the aforementioned fees the consideration of public prices.

According to these rules and taking into account the Order of 22 August 1996 ("Official State Gazette" of 28), which entrusts the Ministry of Education, Culture and Sport with the approval of the price amount This is the only way to ensure that the public authorities of the General Administration of the State, as well as the economic and financial memory referred to in Article 26.2 of the Law 8/1989, prepared in accordance with the proposal of the International University of the The Board of Government of the University, by means of this Order the prices to be updated for the provision of academic services for the year 2000 at the University.

In its virtue, and under the habilitation conferred by Article 26.1 of Law 8/1989, of 13 April, of Fees and Public Prices, I have:

First. -Prices to be met by the provision of the public service of higher education at the Menéndez Pelayo International University, in studies leading to the acquisition of non-official diplomas and diplomas. This University, in the year 2000, will be paid in accordance with the rates set out in the Annex which are set out in this Order.

Second. This Order shall enter into force on the day following that of its publication in the "Official Gazette of the State".

ANNEX

Rates

I. Courses, seminars and meetings to be held at all venues:

Type A course registration: 17,000 pesetas.

Type B course registration: 22,000 pesetas.

Type C course registration: 30,000 pesetas.

Type D course registration: 46,000 pesetas.

Type E course registration: 75,000 pesetas.

Special tuition: 10,000 pesetas.

The special rate will be applicable to courses and seminars that require it, on a proposal from the Director of the headquarters, and will not be eligible for discounts for other concepts.

Students enrolled in the Universities that have signed agreements with this University on credit recognition will be applied a discount of 50 per 100.

The staff, their spouses and direct descendants of the Menéndez Pelayo International University, as well as the residents of the Las Llamas Residence will be given a 50-for-100 discount on the price of the First course and 10 per 100 in the second and next.

II. Spanish Language Courses (winter):

Tuition: 60,000 pesetas (four-week course); 30,000 pesetas [two-week course (*)] Examination rights: 3,000 pesetas.

Accommodation: Residency of Las Llamas 30,000 pesetas (month).

Accommodation and meals: Residency of Las Llamas 90,000 pesetas (month).

For stays longer than three months, there are prices in tuition with a reduction of 10 to 15 per 100.

Twelve weeks (-10 per 100): 162,000 pesetas.

Fourteen weeks (-12 per 100): 184,800 pesetas.

Sixteen weeks (-12 per 100): 21,200 pesetas.

Eighteen weeks (-12 per 100): 237,600 pesetas.

Twenty weeks (-15 per 100): 255,000 pesetas.

III. Spanish Language Courses (summer 2000):

Tuition for the five courses: 75,000 pesetas.

ELE Courses (summer);

3 to 14 July, 31 July to 11 August:

Tuition: 40,000 pesetas (July and August).

August 28 to September 8 (in collaboration with the Cervantes Institute):

Tuition: 55,000 pesetas (September).
