Royal Decree 3473/2000 of 29 December 2000 amending Royal Decree 1007/1991 of 14 June 1991 laying down the minimum teaching requirements for compulsory secondary education has carried out a new design of basic minimum teaching throughout the national territory.

Its objective has been to strengthen the instrumental areas of Language and Mathematics, to introduce in the area of Technology contents related to the new information technologies, to improve the knowledge of the Humanities, encourage greater depth of the subjects in the area of Nature Sciences and update the curricula of all areas.

For this purpose, the aforementioned Royal Decree sets out in Annex II the school timetable corresponding to the minimum teaching requirements for compulsory secondary education and, in its unique transitional provision, provides for the introduction of This timetable will be made from the 2001-2002 course.

In application of the provisions of this Royal Decree, this Order aims to approve the schedules for the teaching of compulsory secondary education from the course of 2001-2002.

These schedules are listed in Annex I and in them the instrumental teachings of Language and Mathematics are reinforced in the line marked by the aforementioned Royal Decree of minimum teachings.

In the same way, in Annex II, the schedules to be followed by students in the second course, which in the academic year 2000-2001 have been taught in Plastic and Visual Education in the first one with concentrated time, will be shown in Annex II. prevents them from returning to teaching already completed. In the same way, for those students who did not attend Technology in the first place, the timetable set out in Annex II will be established.

In its virtue, in exercise of the authorization conferred by the final disposition of Royal Decree 34772000, of December 29, I have arranged:

First. This Order will be applied in the centers where the teaching of compulsory secondary education is taught, within the management of the Ministry of Education, Culture and Sport.

Second. -1. The weekly schedule for each course of the stage shall be twenty-nine hours and its distribution by area and subject shall be in accordance with the provisions of Annex I to this Order.

2. In addition, each group of pupils will have a weekly tutoring hour.

Third.
