The deployment of the Mossos d' Escuadra in the province of Barcelona and the consequent assumption of competences which, in the field of public security, attributes the legal order, constitutes a fact that directly affects the services that the Directorate General of the Police and the Civil Guard, in the field of the National Police Corps, has so far been providing through its deferential organs and peripheral units in that province.

On the other hand, taking into account that the Directorate General of the Police and the Civil Guard must continue to attend to certain services, which are the exclusive competence of the State, the exercise of which is attributed to the National Police by Law 2/1986 of March 13, of Forces and Security Corps, and in order to achieve an optimization of the public resources, it is necessary to undertake an adaptation and restructure the peripheral services of the mentioned Directorate-General, in the field of the National Police Corps, of the province.

To this effect, it is necessary to carry out an amendment of the Order INT/2103/2005, of July 1, for which the organic structure and functions of the Central and Peripheral Services of the General Directorate of the Police, today Directorate General of the Police and the Civil Guard, who pick up the variations that the referred circumstances generate.

For this purpose, in use of the powers conferred on me by the Final Disposition First of Royal Decree 1571/2007, of 30 November, for which the basic organic structure of this Ministry is developed, and after approval of the Minister of Public Administrations, I have:

First. Amendment of Order INT/2103/2005, of 1 July, for the development of the organic structure and functions of the Central and Peripheral Services of the Directorate-General of the Police.

Order INT/2103/2005, of July 1, for the development of the organic structure and functions of the Central and Peripheral Services of the Directorate-General of the Police, is amended as follows:

One. Modification of the name of organs mentioned in the Order:

All the references that in the Order are made to the organs with the name Directorate General of the Police and Subdirectorate General Operativa, will be understood to be made to the Directorate General of the Police and the Civil Guard and to the Operational Assistant Address, respectively.

Two. The 16th paragraph. Local police stations, which is worded as follows:

" In the populations indicated in Annex II of this Order, there will be a Local Police Commissioner, who, in her area of territorial demarcation, will perform those functions that according to the legal order The National Police Corps is in force. The territorial demarcation of the action area of each Local Commissioner shall comprise the stocks referred to in their name and, where appropriate, those which are expressly indicated.

The Local Commissaries shall have the necessary units for the performance of the functions that correspond to them, which shall be based on the populations of their respective territorial areas to be determined. "
