Article 4 (2) of Council Regulation (EC) No 104/2000 of 17 December 1999 on the common organisation of the market in fishery and aquaculture products provides that: ' Member States shall establish and publish the list of trade names accepted on their territory, at least for all species listed in Annexes I to IV to this Regulation. This list shall indicate in respect of each species the scientific name, the name in the official language (s) of the Member State and, where appropriate, the name (s) accepted or tolerated at local or regional level. "

In compliance with this article, the seventh Resolution of the General Secretariat of Maritime Fisheries, currently in force, is adopted on February 7, 2008.

The constant influx of new species into our fishing markets and the revision of the current list make it necessary to amend the single annex to this resolution, which has been approved by the Commission. Commercial denominations of Fishery Species in Spain, created by Order PRE/634/2004 of 5 March, establishing the Commission of Commercial Denominations of Fishery Species in Spain.

By virtue of the above, this General Secretariat of the Sea resolves:

First. -Establish the Listing of commercial denominations admitted in the Spanish territory for the fishery products with the following particularities:

1. As regards the trade name of a fishery product, the trade name considered as official name shall be recognised throughout the national territory, supplemented, where appropriate, by the different meanings of the trade names which are listed in the List and have been recognized by the Autonomous Communities.

2. The scientific names of certain species have been updated in accordance with the International Code of Scientific Classification, keeping in brackets the scientific name of the genus still in use.

Second. -Give publicity to the cited Listing by publication in the "Official State Gazette" as the only annex to this Resolution.

Third. -Leaving the Resolution of 7 February 2008 without effect.
