Royal Decree 242/2009 of 27 February establishing convalidations between the professional teaching of Music and Dance and the compulsory secondary education and the Baccalaureate, as well as the effects on the Physical Education must have the status of a high level athlete or high performance and the professional teaching of Dance, in the second provision second provides that the educational administrations will be able to establish convalidations, where they affect the optional secondary education subjects of compulsory education and of Baccalaureate, taking into account the convalidations set out in this Royal Decree.

Order ECI/2220/2007 of 12 July establishing the curriculum and regulating the ordination of compulsory secondary education, and Order ESD/1729/2008 of 11 June for the regulation of management and establishing the the Baccalaureate curriculum, provided in Articles 11.4 and 9.2 respectively, that it is for the Secretary of State for Education and Vocational Training to establish the optional subjects, their curriculum, the associated requirements and procedures to its partition, as well as the system of convalidations affecting them.

The Resolution of 3 August 2007, of the General Secretariat of Education, which organizes the offer of optional subjects in the compulsory secondary education, in its ninth point, and the resolution of 25 August 2008, The Secretariat of State for Education and Training, for which the offer of optional subjects is organised in the Baccalaureate, in its fifth point, provides for the validation of the optional subjects in these educational stages.

In this way, as stated in the Royal Decree mentioned above, it is necessary to update the convalidations of the optional subjects in these two stages, in order to adapt them to the new structure of the teachings professionals and the needs of the students who simultaneously carry out these studies.

For all of this, and by virtue of the powers conferred by Article 11.4 of Order ECI/2220/2007 of 12 July and Article 9.2 of Order ESD/1729/2008 of 11 June, this Secretariat of State for Education and Training Professional has:

First. This resolution will be applicable in schools that teach compulsory secondary education and Baccalaureate, within the management field of the Ministry of Education.

Second. The students who have completed or are studying professional music will be able to validate each of the optional subjects of the first three courses of compulsory secondary education, in the event that request, for a subject of these professional teachings chosen among those listed below: 1.er Musical Language course, 2. Course of Musical Language, 2. Course of Musical Language, 1.er Harmony course, 1.er Coro course, 2. Coro course, 1.er Music course Camera, 1.er Orchestra course, 2. Orchestra course, 3.erOrchestra course, 1.er Band course, 2. Band course, 3.er Band course, 1.er Set course, 2. course set and 3.er Set Course.

Third. The students who have completed or are pursuing professional teaching of Dance may be able to validate each of the optional subjects of the first three courses of compulsory secondary education, in the event that request, for a subject of 1. º, 2. º and 3.er courses in professional dance teachings that have not been used for other validation.

Fourth. The students who have completed or are pursuing professional teaching of Music and Dance will be able to validate each of the optional subjects of the Baccalaureate, in the event that they so request, by a subject of 4. º, 5. or 6. of these professional teachings that have not been used for other validation.

Fifth. -The application for validation by the student or his parents or legal guardians, if he is a minor, will be directed to the director of the center in which the student is enrolled in the subject matter of possible validation.

In order to justify the validation, an academic certificate must be presented to demonstrate that the necessary subject is exceeded. The students who are at the same time as the corresponding courses for the validation must provide a certificate of registration, and present the academic certificate certifying that the subjects have been exceeded, until the date on which they are completed. the final extraordinary assessment, in other case the matter will be listed as pending.

The convalidations referred to in this resolution shall be recognized by the director of the teaching center in which the student is enrolled, after the fulfilment of the requirements has been verified. The original supporting documents, or certified copies necessary for their recognition, shall be incorporated into the student's personal file in the centre.

The term "Validated" and the code "CV" shall be used in the assessment documents in the box for the qualification of the subject matter of validation.

Sixth. -The ninth point of the Resolution of 3 August 2007, of the General Secretariat of Education, which organizes the offer of optional subjects in compulsory secondary education, is without effect.

Seventh. -The fifth point of the Resolution of 25 August 2008, of the Secretary of State for Education and Training, which organizes the offer of optional subjects in the Baccalaureate, is without effect.

Eighth. -This resolution shall enter into force on the day following that of its publication in the "Official State Gazette".
