The Agreement of the Council of Ministers of 30 April 2010 on the rationalization of the Business Public Sector establishes in its seventh paragraph that the Ministries of the Public Entities will adopt appropriate measures to reduce the number of members of these entities in at least 15 per 100.

As a result, the present royal decree comes to the amendment of Article 17 (1) of the Statute of Spanish Airports and Air Navigation (AENA), reducing the maximum number of members from fifteen to twelve.

On the other hand, in application of the provisions of article 63.3 of Law 6/1997, of April 14, of the Organization and the Functioning of the General Administration of the State, since it is a modification that affects only the organization of the aforementioned entity, will be carried out by royal decree at the initiative of the holder of the Ministry of Development, as Department of affiliation and on the proposal of the Minister of Territorial Policy and Public Administration.

In its virtue, at the initiative of the Minister of Public Works, on the proposal of the Third Vice President of the Government and Minister of Territorial Policy and Public Administration and after deliberation of the Council of Ministers, at its meeting of 28 of January 2011,

DISPONGO:

Single item. Amendment of the Statute of the Spanish Business Entity Airports and Air Navigation, approved by Royal Decree 905/1991 of 14 June.

The wording of Article 17 (1) of the Statute of the Business Public Entity Spanish Airports and Air Navigation, approved by Royal Decree 905/1991 of 14 June, which will have the following effect, is amended. wording:

" 1. The Board of Directors shall be composed of the President and a minimum of eight and a maximum of twelve Directors, whose appointment and termination shall be the responsibility of the Minister for Public Works. "

Single repeal provision. Regulatory repeal.

All provisions of the same or lower rank are repealed as soon as they are opposed, contravened or incompatible with the provisions of this royal decree.

Single end disposition. Entry into force.

This royal decree will enter into force on the day following its publication in the "Official State Gazette".
