Decree No. 2013 - 1287 23 September 2013 Decree No. 2013-1287 23 September 2013 on the powers of the Minister of fisheries and Maritime Affairs.

The President of the Republic, pursuant to the Constitution;

Having regard to Decree No. 2013 - 1218 September 1, 2013 appointing the Prime Minister;

Having regard to Decree No. 2013 - 1223 of September 2, 2013 on the composition of the Government.

Having regard to Decree No. 2013-1225, 4 September 2013 on the distribution of the services of the State and control of public institutions, national companies and companies with public participation between the Presidency of the Republic, the Prime Minister's Office and ministries;

On the proposal of the Prime Minister.

Decrees: Article 1. -Under the authority of the Prime Minister, the Minister of fisheries and Maritime Affairs prepares and implements the policy defined by the head of State in the fields of fisheries, fish farming, the development of the seabed, port infrastructure and maritime transport.
As such, it ensures information from Governments on the State of fisheries resources.

It ensures their operation sustainable for both artisanal and industrial fisheries.
In connection with the Minister of the Armed Forces and the Minister of the Interior, it is responsible for the protection of fish resources and fisheries monitoring.
Regarding industrial fishing, it controls its activity so that it does not destroy or deplete the marine natural environment.

It is responsible for the proper functioning of the processing of the fishery products sector. It ensures the promotion of these products. It encourages their export. It town that the fishing professionals have appropriate qualifications. It supports the activity of artisanal fisheries.
He instructed and transmits to the Minister of economy and finance fishing licence applications, for the purpose of transparent public auctions. He represented Senegal in all international meetings on fisheries and signed Senegal fisheries agreements the foreign countries.

It promotes and controls the development of fish farming.
It is responsible for management and exploitation of the seabed.

He is responsible for the establishment and development of port facilities.
