Law No. 17 establishing the Government Commission for the Construction and edit assignments of the Governmental Commission for the Conservation of monuments and antiquities and art objects. We the Captains Regent of the Most Serene Republic of San Marino promulgate and publish the following Law approved by the State Council in his meeting of May 31, 1944. Art. 1. The Commission for the Conservation of Monuments of which the law June 10, 1919 and March 22, 1926 It extends its powers to the approval of projects and the control of building constructions on behalf of the State and private. It therefore takes the name of the Government Commission for the Construction and for the preservation of monuments and antiquities and art objects. Art. 2. In derogation of the law 10 June 1919 and 22 March 1926 the Commission consists of seven members, namely the senior Conservative of the museum, government dell'Ingegere, Teacher of Art History in High School, Officer Health and the three members of the Commission of public Works. The Commission will appoint from among its members a president of a secretary. Art. 3. The Commission shall have the powers set out in legg 10 June 1919 n. 17, and also cure the application of the law 7 July 1919 n. 28 on public housing and settlement for the building. It must also give opinions on draft zoning or urban accommodation, on systems of public services projects with regard to aesthetics, on the monuments be erected both in public locations, both in churches and cemeteries. He may propose to the Ministry of Ecc.ma Regency study or execution of urban reclamation and restoration of residential areas, especially with regard to aesthetics and hygiene. And finally it will be in charge of the high surveillance of important governmental works of construction and urban planning. Art. 4. The Commission in the exercise of its powers cure: 1) that it is not tampered with the artistic heritage of the Republic so that it belongs to the state because it is privately owned; 2) that new buildings or renovations, adaptations, modifications of old ones conforming with the laws, are attuned to the environment, decent, free from defects or failures of any kind, and contribute to the aesthetics of the urban centers; 3) that are observed the hygiene standards of the town. Art. 5. For the renovation or the construction or expansion of urban centers or districts of some importance, the Commission will establish the general criteria to be respected designers and manufacturers, especially regarding the environment where we have to edif be in tune, the height of buildings, street widths, the isolation spaces and courtyards.
