LAW 10 March 1953, n. 8 Accession to the Geneva Conventions of 12 August 1949 for the protection of war victims. We the Captains Regent of the Most Serene Republic of San Marino availing ourselves of the option granted by the Council, and G.. that, in the round of 10 March 1953, it resolved to adhere to the Conventions of 12 August 1949 Geneva for the protection of war victims; We have decreed, promulgate and send for publishing: Sole article. Full adherence and execution is given to following the Geneva Conventions of 12 August 1949: a) Convention relative to the Treatment of Prisoners of War; b) Convention for the Amelioration of the Condition of the Wounded and Sick in Armed Forces in the Field; c) Convention for the Amelioration of the Condition of Wounded, Sick and Shipwrecked Members of Armed Forces at Sea; d) Convention relative to the Protection of Civilian Persons in Time of War.
