RUSSIAN FEDERATION FEDERAL LAW amending Article 264 of the Criminal Code Russian Federation adopted by the State Duma on 28 January 2009 Approved by the Federation Council on 4 February 2009 (In the wording of the Federal Law 31.12.2014 N 528-FZ Article 264 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (Legislative Assembly of the Russian Federation) THE RUSSIAN FEDERATION, 1996, N 25, 2954; 1998, N 26, est. 3012; 2003, N 50, sect. 4848) Amend to read as follows: " Article 264. Breach of traffic rules and operation of vehicles 1. Breach by a person driving a car, a tram or other motor vehicle, traffic rules or the operation of vehicles, resulting in the infliction of grievous harm to human health- shall be punished by restriction of liberty for the term of up to five years, imprisonment for a term of three to six months, or imprisonment for a term of up to two years with deprivation of the right to drive for up to three years or without it. 2. The act referred to in the first part of this article, committed by a person in a state of intoxication, resulting in the infliction of grievous harm to human health by negligence,- shall be punished by imprisonment for a term of up to three years. Depriation of the right to drive for up to three years. 3. The act provided for in the first part of this article, resulting in the death of a person through negligence, is punishable by deprivation of liberty for up to five years with deprivation of the right to drive a vehicle for a period of up to three years. 4. The act referred to in the first part of this article, committed by a person in a state of intoxication, resulting in the death of a person, shall be punished by imprisonment for a term of up to seven years with deprivation of the right to govern for a period of up to three years. 5. The act provided for in the first part of this article, resulting in the death of two or more persons by negligence, is punishable by deprivation of liberty for up to seven years with deprivation of the right to drive a vehicle for a period of up to three years. 6. The act referred to in the first part of this article, committed by a person who is intoxicated, resulting in the death of two or more persons by negligence, shall be punished by imprisonment for a term of up to nine years with deprivation of the right.
