RUSSIAN FEDERATION FEDERAL LAW amending Article 181 of Part One of the Civil Code of the Russian Federation adopted by the State Duma on 6 July 2005 Approved by the Federation Council on 13 July 2005 Article 1 Article 181 of Part 1 of the Civil Code Russian Federation (Legislative Assembly of the Russian Federation) Federation, 1994, N 32, sect. 3301) amended to read: " Article 181. Period of limitation for invalid transactions 1. The statute of limitations on the application of the consequences of the nullity of the transaction is three years. The period of limitation shall begin on the date on which the transaction has commenced. 2. The statute of limitations on the claim for the nullity of the transaction and the application of the consequences of its invalidity is one year. The period of limitation shall begin from the day of termination of the violence or the threat under which the transaction was effected (article 179, paragraph 1), or from the day on which the claimant knew or had to know otherwise, that are the basis for an invalid transaction. ". Article 2 1. This law shall enter into force on the date of its official publication. 2. Article 181 of the Civil Code of the Russian Federation (as amended by the present Federal Law) The application of the consequences of the nullity of the null transaction also applies to claims previously established by the Civil Code of the Russian Federation date of entry not expired before the day of entry under this Federal Act.
