RUSSIAN FEDERATION FEDERAL LAW OF THE RUSSIAN FEDERATION "On the languages of the peoples of the Russian Federation" on 15 November 2002 Approved by the Federation Council on 27 November 2002 Article 1. Supplement article 3 of the Law of the Russian Federation of 25 October 1991 No. 1807-I on the languages of the peoples of the Russian Federation deputies of the RSFSR and the Supreme Soviet of the RSFSR, 1991, 1740; Legislative Assembly of the Russian Federation, 1998, No. 31, sect. 3804), paragraph 6, to read: " 6. In the Russian Federation, the Russian Federation and the official languages of the Republic of the Russian Federation are based on a graphic basis of the Cyrillic alphabet. Other graphic bases of the state language of the Russian Federation and the state languages of the republics can be established by federal laws. ". Article 2. The Russian Federation shall bring its normative legal acts into conformity with this Federal Law within six months from the date of its entry into force. Subjects of the Russian Federation shall bring their laws and other regulatory legal acts into conformity with this Federal Law within twelve months from the date of its entry into force. Article 3.
