RUSSIAN FEDERATION FEDERAL LAW About the ratification of the Convention for the Suppression of Unlawful Acts against the Safety of Maritime Navigation and the Protocol for the Suppression of the Illicit Traffic in illegal acts against the security of fixed platforms located on the continental shelf adopted by the State Duma on 14 February 2001 The Federation on 22 February 2001 Article 1. Ratify the Convention for the Suppression of Unlawful Acts against the Safety of Maritime Navigation of 10 March 1988, signed with the subsequent ratification on behalf of the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics in London on 2 March In 1989, with the following reservation: "The Russian Federation shall apply article 8, paragraph 1, of the Convention for the Suppression of Unlawful Acts against the Safety of Maritime Navigation, in part not contrary to its legislation". Article 2. Ratify the Protocol for the Suppression of Unlawful Acts against the Safety of Fixed Platforms Located on the Continental Shelf of 10 March 1988, signed subject to ratification by of the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics in London on 2 March 1989.
