N 293-FZ RUSSIAN FEDERATION FEDERAL LAW On introducing amendments and additions to the Federal Law on Higher and Postgraduate Professional Education " Adopted by the State Duma on June 9, 2000 Approved by the Federation Council on 28 June 2000 Article 1. Amend the Federal Law of 22 August 1996 N 125-FZ "On Higher and Postgraduate Professional Education" (Legislative Assembly Russian Federation, 1996, 4135) the following changes and additions: 1. Paragraph 4 of article 10, paragraph 4, shall be supplemented with the words ", which shall be formed with the participation of representatives of the educational administration of the constituent entity of the Russian Federation, in whose territory the higher educational institution is located." 2. Paragraph 2 of article 26 should read: " 2. The monitoring of compliance by the higher educational institution with the conditions of the educational activities provided for by the license is ensured by the federal (central) body for the management of higher vocational education with the participation of the educational management body OF THE PRESIDENT OF THE RUSSIAN FEDERATION If these conditions are violated, the licence must be seized. The decision to withdraw the licence is taken by the federal (central) body for the management of higher vocational education. This decision may be appealed to the courts. ". Article 2. The President of the Russian Federation and the Government of the Russian Federation shall bring their legal acts into conformity with this Federal Act. Article 3.
