RUSSIAN FEDERATION FEDERAL LAW On ratification of the Agreement for the Implementation of the Provisions of the United Nations Convention on the Law of the Sea of 10 December 1982, which concern the conservation of straddling fish stocks and highly migratory fish stocks , adopted by the State Duma on 21 March 1997 Approved by the Federation Council on 16 April 1997 the ratification of the Agreement on the Implementation of Provisions The United Nations Convention on the Law of the Sea of 10 December 1982 relating to the Conservation and Management of Straddling Fish Stocks and Highly Migratory Fish Stocks, signed at New York on 4 December 1995, The following statement: " The Russian Federation declares that the dispute settlement procedures referred to in article 30 of the Agreement for the Implementation of the Provisions of the United Nations Convention on the Law of the Sea of 10 December 1982, Conservation and Management of Straddling Fish Stocks and Highly Migratory The Conference of the Parties serving as the meeting of the Parties to the Protocol shall: Russian Federation states that, taking into account articles 42 and 43 of the Agreement, it objects to all declarations and declarations made in the past and may be made in the future upon signature, ratification or accession to the Agreement. and on any other occasion in connection with the Agreement which are not in conformity with the provisions of article 43 of the Agreement. The Russian Federation proceeds from the fact that the declarations and statements, in whatever form they may be made and whatever name they may have, cannot exclude or modify the legal effect of the provisions of the Agreement in their application to the Participant. Agreements to which such declarations or statements are made and therefore will not be taken into account by the Russian Federation in relations with such a party to the Agreement.
