The sale of a plot of land for the purposes specified in article 1 of this Law shall be made by the owner, independently by means of a contract with the buyer or by a district (town) committee on land resources and Land administration by holding a tender or auction. The purchase and sale contract (merchanting) of the land is subject to notary certification and registration in the appropriate land and land administration committee. The Committee of the Russian Federation on Land and Land Administration approves the form of a model contract for the sale of land.
