LEGE no. 146 146 of 12 July 2016 for amendment Law no. 102/1992 on the country's coat of arms and state seal

The Romanian Parliament adopts this law + Article I Law no. 102/1992 on the country's coat of arms and the seal of state, published in the Official Gazette of Romania, Part I, no. 236 of 24 September 1992, shall be amended as follows: 1. In Article 1, paragraph 2 shall be amended and shall read as follows: "The large shield, on blue, has a golden eagle with its head to the right crowned, with its beak and red claws, with its wings open, holding a golden orthodox cross in its beak, in the right claw a sword, and in the left claw a mace." 2. Annexes no. 1 1 and 2 are amended and replaced by Annexes no. 1 1 and 2 to the present law. + Article II (1) By December 31, 2018, public authorities have the obligation to replace the existing coats of arms and seals with their new models, as amended according to the provisions of this law. ... (2) Until the date provided in par. (1), the two models of coat of arms of Romania and the seal of the state may continue to be used. ... (3) The coins and banknotes issued by the National Bank of Romania prior to December 31, 2018 will continue to circulate after this date, in parallel with the coins and banknotes with new coat of arms. ...
