LEGE no. 72 72 of 11 March 2003 for the acceptance of the International Code for the Construction and Equipment of Ships for the Bulk Transport of Dangerous Chemicals (IBC Code), adopted by the International Maritime Organization by Resolution MSC.4 (48) of the Security Committee Maritime in London on 17 June 1983 and by Resolution MEPC.19 (22) of the Marine Environment Protection Committee in London on 5 December 1985, as amended by subsequent amendments, as well as for the acceptance of Amendments of 1990, 1999 and 2000 relating thereto

The Romanian Parliament adopts this law + Article 1 The International Code for the Construction and Equipment of Ships for the Bulk Transport of Dangerous Chemicals (IBC Code), adopted by the International Maritime Organization by Resolution MSC.4 (48) of the Maritime Security Committee, is hereby accepted. in London on 17 June 1983 and by Resolution MEPC.19 (22) of the Marine Environment Protection Committee in London on 5 December 1985, as amended by the amendments adopted by Resolution MSC.10 (54) of the Security Committee Maritime in London on 29 April 1987, by Commission Resolution MSC.14 (57) Maritime Security in London on 11 April 1989 and by Resolution MEPC.32 (27) of the Marine Environment Protection Committee in London on 17 March 1989, by Resolution MSC.28 (61) of the Maritime Security Committee in London on 11 December 1992 and by Resolution MEPC.55 (33) of the Marine Environment Protection Committee in London on 30 October 1992, by Resolution MSC.50 (66) of the Maritime Security Committee in London on 4 June 1996 and by Resolution MEPC.69 (38), respectively. Council for the Protection of the Marine Environment in London on 10 July 1996 and by Resolution IMO res. MSC.58 (67) of the Maritime Security Committee in London on 5 December 1996 and by Resolution MEPC.73 (39) of the Marine Environment Protection Committee in London on 10 March 1997, set out in Annex no. 1. + Article 2 Amendments to the IBC Code, adopted by the International Maritime Organization by Resolution MSC.16 (58) of the Maritime Security Committee in London on 24 May 1990 and by Resolution MEPC.40 (29) of the Environmental Protection Committee, shall be accepted. Marine in London on 16 March 1990, set out in Annex no. 2. + Article 3 Amendments to the IBC Code, adopted by the International Maritime Organization by Resolution MSC.102 (73) of the Maritime Security Committee in London on December 5, 2000 and by the resolutions of MEPC.79 (43) of the Committee for the Protection of the Marine environment in London on 1 July 1999 and MEPC.90 (45) of the Marine Environment Protection Committee in London on 5 October 2000, set out in Annex no. 3. + Article 4 Shipbuilders, shippers, shipowners and operators of the novel flag vessels built on or after 1 July 1986, used for the bulk transport of liquid hazardous chemicals, and their seafarers, as well as other factors involved in the transport by sea of this type of products, are obliged to comply with the provisions contained in the regulations provided in art. 1-3. + Article 5 The Ministry of Public Works, Transport and Housing will take the necessary measures to implement the regulations provided for in art. 1-3. This law was adopted by the Senate at the meeting of December 5, 2002, in compliance with the provisions of art 74 74 para. (2) of the Romanian Constitution. p.
