Law No. 17 of 22 February 2001 on the ratification of the European Convention for the protection of human rights and dignity of the human being towards the applications of biology and medicine, the Convention on human rights and Biomedicine signed in Oviedo on 4 April 1997 and the additional protocol to the European Convention for the protection of human rights and dignity of the human being towards the applications of biology and medicine, on the prohibition of cloning human beings , signed at Paris on 12 January 1998 published in PARLIAMENT ISSUING the OFFICIAL GAZETTE nr. 103 of 28 February 2001, the Romanian Parliament adopts this law.


The sole article Shall ratify the European Convention for the protection of human rights and dignity of the human being towards the applications of biology and medicine, the Convention on human rights and Biomedicine signed in Oviedo on 4 April 1997 and the additional protocol to the European Convention for the protection of human rights and dignity of the human being towards the applications of biology and medicine, on the prohibition of cloning human beings , signed at Paris on 12 January 1998.
This law was adopted by the Senate at its meeting on 11 May 2000, in compliance with the provisions of art. 74 para. (2) of the Constitution of Romania.
SENATE PRESIDENT NICOLAE V this law was adopted by the Chamber of deputies at its meeting on 6 February 2001, in compliance with the provisions of art. 74 para. (2) of the Constitution of Romania.
