The Romanian Parliament adopts this law + Article UNIC Approval Government Ordinance no. 8 8 of 27 January 1998 establishing the Special Fund for the Promotion and Development of Tourism, issued pursuant to art. 1 lit. k) of Law no. 221/1997 on the empowerment of the Government to issue ordinances and published in the Official Gazette of Romania, Part I, no. 40 of 30 January 1998, as amended, with the following amendments and additions: 1. Article 2 shall read as follows: "" Art. 2. -From the Special Fund for the promotion and development of tourism, the programs and activities of development and promotion of tourism products in Romania, namely the programs and marketing and promotion activities tourism, representation and tourist information in the country and abroad, creation and development of tourist products, other activities of development and promotion of tourism, authorization and control activities, in accordance with national policy in tourism sector. " 2. in Article 3 (a), a paragraph shall be inserted, which shall become paragraph 3, with the following contents: "It is exempted from the payment of the contribution for tourism of 3% and economic agents that provide tourist services in tourist hostels and agritourism hostels in rural areas, if they are not paying the value added tax." 3. In Article 3, letter c) shall read as follows: "c) part of the net profit of the National Institute of Training and Management for Tourism, established by the Ministry of Tourism *) with the approval of the revenue and expenditure budget;" --------- Note *) The tasks of the Ministry of Tourism were taken over by the National Tourism Authority, according to Government Emergency Ordinance no. 56/1998 , published in the Official Gazette of Romania, Part I, no. 515 515 of 30 December 1998. 4. In Article 5, paragraph 2 shall read as follows: " For the non-payment of the amounts due by economic agents, the provisions of Government Ordinance no. 11/1996 on the execution of budgetary claims, approved and amended by Law no. 108/1996, as amended. In this regard, the control of the establishment of the Special Fund for the promotion and development of tourism is made by the Office of Authorization and Control in Tourism and other specialized persons, according to the law, empowered by the Minister of Tourism *). " ------------ Note *) President of the National Tourism Authority, according to Government Decision no. 972/1998 , published in the Official Gazette of Romania, Part I, no. 527 527 of 31 December 1998. 5. In Article 7, letters a) and b) shall read as follows: "" a) 70% for marketing, promotion and authorization and control activities in tourism; b) 30% for the actions of creation and development of tourist products. " 6. In Article 8, the letters e) and i) shall read as follows: " e) coverage of 50% of the interest contracted on medium-term loans, obtained from banks for investment projects in tourism. The granting of these credits will be made through banks, on the basis of convention; .............................................. i) other actions approved by the Government. " 7. Article 9 shall read as follows: "" Art. 9. -The criteria on the basis of which the amounts from the Special Fund for the promotion and development of tourism will be allocated, as well as the programming, calculation and reporting methodology related to it are established by methodological norms developed by The Ministry of Tourism and the Ministry of Finance, approved by the Government, within 30 days from the date of publication in the Official Gazette of Romania of this ordinance. " This law was passed by the Senate at the meeting of February 28, 2000, in compliance with the provisions of art 74 74 para. (2) of the Romanian Constitution. p.
