Law no. 68/1994 was published in the Official Gazette of Romania, Part I, no. 207 207 of 10 August 1994 and has been amended by Law no. 35/1995 amending Article 8 of the Law no. 68/1994 on the establishment of the medal "Commemorative cross of the Second World War, 1941-1945", published in the Official Gazette of Romania, Part I, no. 84 84 of 4 May 1995. + Article 1 The medal "Commemorative Cross of World War II, 1941-1945" is established to commemorate the military services to the Romanian state during World War II. + Article 2 (1) The medal shall be conferred on all military personnel, assimilated by any rank and civilian personnel assigned to the military units who participated in the campaigns of the Romanian army from 1941 to 1945 and have the status of war veteran of the Romanian army, according to Law no. 44/1994 on war veterans, as well as some rights of war-widows and widows. (2) The provisions of par. (1) also benefits the citizens of other states, who participated in the second world war in the Romanian army and were in one of the situations provided for in art. 1 1 and 2 of Law no. 44/1994 on war veterans, as well as some rights of war-widows and widows. + Article 3 The medal is also given to civil servants or persons who, not belonging to the army, have executed an effective and permanent service in addition to this and also have the quality of war veteran. + Article 4 The medal is awarded by the Romanian President + Article 5 The right to wear the medal is personal and non-transferable. + Article 6 The finding of the right to acquire the medal will be made by the National Association of War Veterans, who submit the proposals for the conferral of decorations. + Article 7 Patents are issued by the Ministry of National Defence. + Article 8 The medal may be withdrawn in the following situations a) if the person has suffered a conviction, by final court decision, to the custodial sentence; b) if the person was part of the repression bodies of totalitarian regimes. + Article 9 (1) The medal "Commemorative Cross of World War II, 1941-1945" is a cross with equal arms, split, of non-ferrous alloy (tombac), black pointed, 40 mm in diameter. The cross has lyse edges, slightly raised, with a thickness of 1.3 mm. (2) In the middle there is a 13 mm diameter medallion, surrounded by a steel circle. On the obverse is applied the crusader eagle, and on the reverse are stamping the years "1941-1945". (3) The medal ribbon is 35 mm wide and has black and light blue stripes, alternating equally. + Article 10 The medal is worn to the left side of the chest. + Article 11 The Ministry of National Defence organizes the evidence of the decorated + Article 12 The achievement expenses will be borne by the Romanian Government, through the Ministry of National Defence.
