The Romanian Parliament adopts this law + Article 1 It is approved to extend the participation of the Romanian Government, for the period 1998-2000, to the Agreement between the Economic Commission for Europe of the United Nations (C.E.E. /O.N. U) and the governments participating in the project "Trans-European Railway (TER)" on the cooperation and lending fund, signed in Geneva on 17 December 1992, ratified by Law no. 124/1994 , published in the Official Gazette of Romania, Part I, no. 351 351 of 19 December 1994. + Article 2 The contribution of the Government of Romania to the fund provided 1 is $10,000 U.S., annually, for a period of 3 years (1998-2000), and will be paid through the Ministry of Transportation. For this purpose, the equivalent in lei of the contribution due by the Romanian Government will be allocated annually from the state budget to the Ministry of Transport, which will ensure the management of that amount, according to the law. This law was adopted by the Senate at the meeting of September 4, 1997, in compliance with the provisions of art 74 74 para. (2) of the Romanian Constitution. p. CHAMBER OF DEPUTIES PRESIDENT ANDREI IOAN CHILIMAN + Annex UNITED NATIONS ECONOMIC COMMISSION FOR EUROPE 26 26 March 1996 Dear Ambassador, I will refer to the project "Trans-European Railway (TER)", the Agreement on the Establishment of a Credit Fund, which was signed by eleven governments, including the Government of your country. I would like to remind you that this agreement was originally intended to cover the period 1992-1996. Given the long-term objectives of the project and relying on the belief that it is in the general interest of all participating governments to continue further development of the project on the basis of such an agreement, I suggest that the period to be extended between 1997 and 2000. So, if in less than 90 days from the date of this communication no objection will be received from your Government, we will understand that I agree. I would appreciate if this communication was passed on to the competent authorities of your country. Convinced that the signatory governments of the project will benefit from continued cooperation, remain, esteemed Mr. Ambassador, Yours truly, Yves Berthelot, Executive Secretary UNITED NATIONS ECONOMIC COMMISSION FOR EUROPE 24 24 July 1996 Dear Mr. Daschievich, Following the letter of the Executive Secretary, Mr Yves Berthelot, dated 26 March 1996, on the Agreement on the Establishment of a Credit Fund for the Trans-European Railway (TER) project, I would like to communicate to you that a positive response has been been given by most signatory countries. Therefore, this fund will continue to be operational in its second phase, which will be from 1 January 1997 to 31 December 2000. The Government of Hungary has sent a special letter in connection with the Agreement on the Establishment of a Credit Fund and with the hosting of the Central Office This letter and the Economic Commission for Europe response given to the ministry are attached In addition, I received a communication from the national coordinator, having the same topic. This letter and my response are also attached. As promised by the Hungarian authorities, the topic of funding the Central Bureau of the Project and/or its location will be on the agenda of the next session of the Management Committee.
