The Romanian Parliament adopts this law + Article 1 The public holidays in which they are not worked are: --1 and 2 January; -the first and second day of Easter; --1 May; --1 December; --25 and 26 December; -two days for each of two annual religious holidays, declared such religious cults, legal, other than Christian ones, for persons belonging to them. + Article 2 The average monthly duration of working time is amended accordingly, taking into account the provisions of art. 1. + Article 3 The Ministry of Health and the local public administration authorities will take the necessary measures to establish an appropriate working hours for health and food establishments in order to provide health assistance and, respectively, of supplying the population with food of strict necessity. + Article 4 Art. 1 does not apply in workplaces where the activity cannot be interrupted due to the character of the production process or to the specificity of the service. + Article 5 (1) Employees working in the units referred to in art. 3, as well as in the jobs provided for in art. 4 of this law are provided with adequate free time compensation in the next 30 days. (2) The granting of days off is made by the management of the units, in consultation with the trade unions or, as the case may be, (3) If, for justified reasons, no days off are granted, the employees benefit, for the work performed on public holidays, by a salary increased by 100% or by the one established by the collective agreement. + Article 6 On the date of entry into force of this Law, the H.C.M. no. 1.739/1960 establishing non-working days. This law was adopted by the Chamber of Deputies at its meeting on June 24, 1996, in compliance with the provisions of 74 74 para. (2) of the Romanian Constitution. p.
